Role at Evogene

With extensive expertise in bovine and equine assisted reproduction, Amelia leads critical aspects of our OPU & IVF programs, laboratory operations, and embryo production processes. From understanding clients' needs to being involved in every facet of our operations, Amelia plays a vital role in shaping how we deliver reproductive success. With a focus on precision, her technical oversight and strategic awareness helps ensure consistent, high-quality outcomes. From a leadership perspective, Amelia drives innovation, improves reproductive efficiency, and delivers on our promise of precision, applying the latest scientific insights.

Background & Expertise

Originally from the Northern Territory, Amelia has spent over 15 years immersed in veterinary reproduction, research, and education. She holds a Bachelor of Veterinary Science with Honours from The University of Queensland, a Master of Clinical Embryology from Monash University, and has completed advanced training in ICSI.

Her research has explored embryo transfer protocols, cryopreservation techniques, and the broader impact of reproductive interventions in both bovine and equine species. A former NT Rural Women’s Award winner, Amelia is also accredited under ACV BullCHECK and PregCHECK Accreditation Schemes. She is a proud member of the Australian Cattle Veterinarians and continues to mentor future vets and contribute to industry best practices.

Amelia’s vision for Evogene is to practically apply scientific innovation, ensuring that every service we deliver supports commercial success for producers. She is committed to advancing reproductive technologies that are precise and effective, with a focus on accessibility that is results-driven - helping clients achieve measurable improvements across their operations.

Fun Fact

In her free time, when she’s not making baby cows, Amelia juggles a busy life with four kids and a full school schedule. Based in Brisbane, her family loves escaping to the family property whenever possible to unwind and spend time with their much-loved Red Brahmans.
