Kate has joined the team as a Laboratory Technician and brings a strong work ethic, a disciplined approach, and a collaborative mindset. Combined with her practical agricultural background and genuine enthusiasm for science and livestock production, she is a valuable addition to our team.
As a Field and Laboratory Technician, Kate supports our scientific team across all stages of the OPU and embryo production process. She has quickly adapted to the technical demands of the laboratory environment and, through hands-on training and close mentorship, has already shown a strong aptitude for embryology.
Raised in rural Queensland and working as a Station Hand on her family property, Kate has practical experience in animal handling, land management, and the day-to-day realities of commercial cattle operations. This background gives her a grounded understanding of the industry we service and the importance of precision, reliability, and care in reproductive programs.
Kate is excited to continue building her knowledge and skills in embryo production while contributing to the high standard of service and care Evogene provides to clients.
Outside the lab, Kate enjoys sewing and giving preloved fabrics a new life by turning them into something special.
