Accurate pregnancy diagnosis, foetal aging, and sexing provide essential insights for informed herd management, enabling producers to make precise breeding, genetic, and management decisions. At Evogene, our science-driven, veterinary-led team combines advanced ultrasound technology with expert interpretation to deliver reliable results you can act on.
Pregnancy diagnosis in cattle is performed using real-time B-mode ultrasound, a non-invasive method that allows visualisation of the uterus, ovaries, and developing foetus. This ultrasound-guided approach enables early, accurate, and actionable reproductive assessment.
Foetal sexing provides additional management advantages by allowing producers to plan future herd composition and optimise breeding programs.
Ultrasound-guided pregnancy diagnosis and foetal sexing allow producers to manage genetics, optimise calving schedules, and increase herd efficiency. At Evogene, all procedures are performed by experienced veterinarians using the latest equipment, delivering results you can trust while supporting the health and wellbeing of your herd.
We recommend pregnancy testing from 8 weeks post transfer for the most accurate results. Early testing is possible at 5 weeks, but waiting a little longer allows the pregnancy to develop with less stress and possibly a reduced risk of additional early embryonic loss so will give better reliability of results and the ability to determine the foetal sex.
At Evogene we prefer for your pregnancy testing to be completed by one of our skilled Veterinarians or one of our trusted partnering Veterinary Practices.
Over the past 4 years at Evogene our pregnancy conception rate across all breeds and all programs is 59% for both fresh and frozen embryos.
